Chirk Aquaduct

Chirk Aqueduct with a canal barge crossing and the railway viaduct behind.

Chirk Aquaduct is a 70 foot (21m) high, 710 foot (220m) long navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal across the Ceiriog Valley near Chirk, on the England-Wales border.

The aqueduct was designed by Thomas Telford and completed in 1801.
